Upper Age Limit
There is no upper age limit to apply. This means that anyone over the age of 18 can apply. However, the minimum age limit will only be fully applicable if they are eligible to apply.
Minimum Age Limit
The apprenticeship start date is April 13, 2026, so you can calculate your age accordingly.
There are two types of trades available for application:
1) Non-hazardous trades (safe work, such as computers, tailoring, etc.)

Age Conclusion
- According to this information, friends, if your age is at least 14 years on 13th April 2026, then you can apply in Non Hazardous Trade.
- If your age is at least 18 years on 13th April 2026, then you can apply in Hazardous Trade.
Upper Age Limit Required After Apprenticeship
Keep in mind that after completing an apprenticeship, if someone applies for a skilled tradesman job, an upper age limit will apply. This upper age limit will be listed in the job advertisement. This means that there is no upper age limit for the apprenticeship, but there will be an upper age limit for future jobs.

Apprentice Merit List 2025
Preliminary Merit List
Only those candidates who have submitted their applications correctly will have their applications considered valid and will be eligible to appear for the written exam. However, before the written exam, a preliminary merit list will be prepared, and the names will be included in this list as explained below.
1) The preliminary merit list will be prepared separately for each trade or category.
2) Only those candidates will be included whose applications have been submitted in full and valid form.
3) The purpose of this preliminary list is to identify who will be eligible to appear for the written exam and who will not.
4) This list is not final. The final list will be released after completion of all the process things that come in the selection process.
How To Apply For NSRY And NAY Apprentice Trainee 2025
Step-1: To apply, you must first visit the apprenticeshipindia.gov.in website
Steo-2: After that, you will have to click on Candidate Registration and register there.
Step-3: To register, you will have to fill in your details such as Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, Date of Birth, etc.
Step-4: Now generate a password and then login.
Step-5: After logging in, fill in your personal details such as educational qualification, ITI Qualification details, and fill in all the details asked.
Step-6: Then upload your photo and signature there.
Step-7: Select the trade in which you have done your ITI.
Step-8: Now go to the “Establishment Search” section.
Step-9: Naval Dockyard Apprentices School, Karwar – Click on the establishment shown.
Step-10: Click the apply button for the trade for which you are eligible, such as Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, etc., and confirm that the details are correct.
Step-11: Then click on submit application.
Step-12: After submitting the application, save a printout or PDF of your application.
Step-13: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test or interview.
Step-14: Call letters and notices for joining will be issued to candidates on the website.
