Eligbility
The candidates have PG degree with 55 percent marks
Candidates must have completed the following
A 1-year/2-semester master’s degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme or a 2-year/4- semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme or qualifications equivalent to the master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body,
Percentage at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever there is a grading system or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of the educational institution.
Relaxation
A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time. Provided that a candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is available.

How to apply:
Candidates interested in pursuing the PHD can apply online University website aud.delhi.gov.in \\. The above numbers of seats are tentative, the seats may increase or decrease, the final numbers of seats will be notified on University website. All admission process is as per Ph.D UGC Regulations 2022 & subsequent notified amendment.

Candidates must submit an original Research Proposal at the time of online application, which must provide
(a) a clear argument for the significance of the area,
(b) a concise survey of literature demonstrating familiarity with major contributions and contemporary work (
c) two potential research questions, describing the importance of the question, the methods by which they can be approached, including identification of data sources in the case of empirical research.
(d) The research proposal must be the original work of the applicant and should be no more than 2,000 words in length
During Interview
For the interview the candidate will present her/his research proposal and would be expected to have a comprehensive understanding in the area chosen in the proposal.
The selection process, and especially the interview, would emphasise innovative thinking ability and a genuine research interest. The alignment of the student’s research interest with the ongoing thrust research areas of the faculty put into account. Applicants will familiarise themselves with the research interests of the faculty through their profiles on the University website
