Selection Procedure
The selection process consists of three phases:
- Phase I – Preliminary Examination
- Phase II – Main Examination
- Phase III – Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination is conducted online and consists of Objective Tests for 100 marks. The duration of the exam is 1 hour, with separate timing for each section.

Note:
- There is negative marking: ¼ mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- No minimum qualifying marks for individual sections or total score.
- Section-wise marks will not be maintained.
Phase II: Main Examination
The Main Examination is also conducted online and consists of Objective Tests for 200 marks. Each section has a separate timing.

Phase III – Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
- Conducted for provisionally selected candidates who did not study the local language of the state (in 10th or 12th standard).
- Candidates must qualify in this test.
- 5% relaxation in qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS.
SBI Junior Associate 2025 Vacancy: Bonus Marks for SBI Apprentices & Eligibility
SBI-trained apprentices get 2.5% bonus marks in the Main Exam = 5 marks (out of 200).
Eligibility:
- Engagement start date on or after 01.01.2022.
- Completed 1 year of training at SBI successfully by 26.08.2025.
- Satisfactory conduct and performance during training.
- Must have passed Skill Evaluation Test (Trade Test) and obtained Joint Apprenticeship Certificate by SBI & NSDC/BFSI-SSC.
Merit List
- Prepared state-wise and category-wise.
- Based on aggregate marks scored in the Main Examination (including bonus marks, if applicable).
- Candidate names will be in descending order of merit.
