Supreme Court Master Recruitment 2025: The application form is now open to fill 30 posts of Court Master (Shorthand).
The candidates will be selected through three tests i.e., shorthand test, written test and typing test.
Candidates who appear have to secure minimum qualifying marks to enter the next phase.

Last Stage is an interview. We have mentioned all the details in this article for Shorthand, written test, typist test and finally the interview.

Weightage of 03 marks to the candidates, who possess a Degree in Law of a recognized University in India, which would include BGL/LLB (Academic) degree from a recognized University in India

Eligibility
. Degree of a recognised University in India 2. Proficiency in Shorthand with a speed of 120w.p.m. in Shorthand (English). 3. Knowledge of computer operation with a typing speed of 40 w.p.m. on a computer.
Experience
Minimum 5 years’ regular service in the cadre of Private Secretary/Senior PA/PA/ Senior Stenographer in Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Statutory bodies.

30-45

Scheme of Examination
Shorthand (English) Test at the speed of 120 words per minute for 7 minutes (The time for transcription will be 45 minutes) Maximum mistakes permissible = 5% of the total words dictatedwithout Mistake 100% Upto 1 % Mistake 90% Upto 2%mistakes 80% Upto 3%mistakes 70% Upto 4%mistakes 60% Upto 5%mistakes 50%

Typing Test
Typing Speed Test on Computer Minimum speed 40 words per minute (Mistakes allowed for general category candidates: 2%, i.e., 8 words)
(Mistakes allowed for reserved category candidates: 3%, i.e., 12 words)

Minimum qualifying marks –10 for general category candidates and 5 for reserved category candidates)

First Test-Shorthand and Written Test
Typing Test-Those who qualify the shorthand and written test will appear for Tying Test. The ratio is 1:10 against the number of vacancies. It means for one single vacancies ten candidates will be called for typing test
Interview Stage
An interview may or may not happen if it does, the candidates will be in the ratio of 1:3 . The candidates who qualify for the Interview by securing a minimum qualifying score or more.
The court will empanel in the order of merit for consideration for appointment to the post of Court Master (Shorthand).
The candidates may note that mere placement in the panel does not confer any right whatsoever on them to claim appointment to the post of Court Master (Shorthand).

Delhi/NCR,Mumbai,Kolkata and Chennai
Shorthand and Objective type written test on same day
Typing Test and Interview-Delhi Only
The candidates are advised to exercise option to select their city in order of preference.
Candidates may note that he/she have the option of shifting to any of the four cities or even to some other city for any test(s) due to administrative reasons.
