Eligibility Criteria for Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate:
- Law Degree Requirement: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (including Integrated Law Degree Courses) from a school, college, university, or institution established by law in India
- The Bar Council of India recognises the degree for enrollment as an Advocate. This qualification must be comple before commencing the assignment.
- Appearing candidates in their final year Integrated or LLB degree can also apply , provided they submit proof of obtaining the Law qualification prior to taking up the assignment.
- Additional Skills: Candidates must possess strong research and analytical skills, excellent writing abilities, and proficiency in computers, including the ability to retrieve information from search engines and legal databases such as e-SCR, Manupatra, SCC Online, LexisNexis, and Westlaw.

Selection Process:
The selection will occur in three phases:
- Part I: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) assessing candidates’ ability to understand and apply legal principles, along with comprehension skills.
- Part II: Subjective Written Test evaluating writing and analytical abilities.
- Part III: Interview.

Examination Details for Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate Engagement:
- Date: Written Tests will be taking place on 07.03.2026.
- Part-I: Online mode (Multiple Choice Questions).
- Part-II: Question paper displayed on computer screen; candidates must write answers using pen and paper.
- Model Answer Keys: For Part-I only, keys will be out on the website on 08.03.2026 and available until 11:59 p.m. on 09.03.2026.
- Candidates may submit online objections during this period.
- Fee: ₹100/- per objection (refundable if valid).
- Objections via letter, application, email, or any other mode will not be accepted.

Qualification and Evaluation Process:
- Part-I Cutoff: Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks of 60%. If a large number qualify, Part-II answer sheets will be evaluated based on merit, at a ratio of 1:10 relative to tentative vacancies (per Clause G(i) of the Scheme).
- Interview Shortlisting: Candidates qualifying both Part-I and Part-II will be called for interview at a ratio of 1:3 relative to tentative vacancies.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer in Part-I.
