TG ECET 2026 – TG ECET is an entrance exam conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad, on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education, or TGCHE. The main purpose of this exam is to provide lateral entry admission into the 2nd year of regular B.E., B.Tech, and B.Pharm courses in both university and private institutions across Telangana.
Must keep in mind, if you are a B.Sc. Mathematics graduate, you can apply only for lateral entry into B.E. or B.Tech courses, but you cannot apply for B. Pharmacy courses. So don’t make that mistake!

The exam is conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad, on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE).

TG ECET 2026 Notification
TG ECET 2026 Notification has not been announced yet. The Notification will be announced in the month of March 2026. According to Previous Year Trend the notification will be announced in the second week of march. TG ECET is State Level entrance test. Diploma and Bsc degree holders can apply for this application form. Candidates must have at least 45% marks in their Diploma or B.Sc. degree. For candidates in reserved categories, the minimum is 40%.

TG ECET Eligibility
To appear for TG ECET 2026, you must be an Indian citizen and meet Telangana state rules for local or unreserved candidates. You should have either a Diploma in Engineering, Technology, or Pharmacy from a recognized Telangana board or a 3-year B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics from a recognized university. Final-year students (2025-26) can also apply but must submit their qualifying certificate at admission. Sandwich diploma candidates are eligible only after completing practical training before counseling. We will understand about this in the information given below.
Candidates must have at least 45% marks in their Diploma or B.Sc. degree, while candidates in reserved categories require at least 40% marks.
Who Can Apply?
First of all, candidates who want to appear for TG ECET 2026 must be Indian citizens. This is a mandatory requirement. Only Indian nationals are eligible.
Next, candidates must satisfy local or unreserved status rules as per Telangana state education regulations. This means you must meet the state guidelines for local candidates or unreserved category.
Educational Qualification
Now comes the most important part – education. There are two ways to be eligible:
- Diploma Route: You should have completed a Diploma in Engineering, Technology, or Pharmacy from Telangana State Board of Technical Education or an equivalent recognized by the Telangana Government.
- B.Sc. Mathematics Route: Alternatively, you can have a 3-year B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as one of your subjects from a recognized university in Telangana or equivalent.
Note – If you are appearing for your final exam in 2025-2026, you are also eligible. But you must show your qualifying certificate with the required marks at the time of admission.
TG ECET 2026 Sandwich Diploma Candidates
If you are pursuing a Diploma under sandwich pattern, you are eligible too. But, you must complete your practical training before the counseling process starts. Without completing the practical training, you cannot be considered for admission.
