TG LAWCET 2026 application form notification will be released  tomorrow on 8 February on the official website and in the regional newspaper

The Osmania University conducts the Telangana Law Common Entrance Test) 2026 on behalf of  Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) for admission to 3-year LL.B. and 5-year integrated LL.B. courses in universities and affiliated law colleges in Telangana for the academic year 2026-27.

TG LAWCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria, qualifying marks

The exam is date is out and will be taking place on May 18, 2026. The official eligibility criteria are prescribed by TGCHE and though no changes reported in the eligibility criteria. if any, will be confirmed in the official notification expected around February 8–10, 2026).

Eligibility Requirements (Common for both courses)

  • Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen.
  • Domicile / Local Status: Must satisfy the local area students with domicile.
  • Age Limit: There is no upper age limit available to appy for  in TG LAWCET 2026

What is the qualification and Minimum Marks required?

Course-wise Educational Qualification & Minimum Marks

1. For 5-Year Integrated LL.B. Course (e.g., B.A. LL.B., B.Com. LL.B., BBA LL.B.)

  • You have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent examination (10+2 pattern) from the B Telangana, or any other recognized board/university.
  • Percentage-
    • General / Unreserved 45%
    • OBC  42%
    • SC / ST  40%

Appearing candidates (final year of 10+2) – can apply for TG Lawcet 2026 but will produce  proof of passing with required percentage at the time of admission.

3-Year LL.B. Course

  • You have passed any Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline from a recognized university (e.g., B.A., B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BCA, B.Tech, etc.).
  • Minimum aggregate marks in qualifying degree:
    • General / Unreserved → 45%
    • OBC → 42%
    • SC / ST → 40%
  • If marks in graduation are below the required percentage, candidates can use aggregate marks of Post-Graduation or B.Ed. (if higher) to satisfy the criteria.

Appearing candidates final year of graduation can apply, but will submit the passing proof with required marks during counselling/admission.

What is the Qualifying Marks in TG LAWCET

  • TG Lawcet 2026 on 18 May , candidates have to  score at least 35% marks (42 out of 120 marks) in TG LAWCET.
  • There is no sectional cut-off — only the overall score matters.
  • Qualifying the exam does not guarantee admission — final selection depends on rank, counselling, and seat availability.

Important Notes

  • You can attempt as many times as you wish to — candidates can appear multiple times.
  • Your document should be perfect while presenting dueing the admission as any mismatch would be a rejection.
  • Official Notification (with exact eligibility details, application form, fee, etc.) is expected to be released soon (around February 8–10, 2026).
