TG EDCET 2026 (Telangana Education Common Entrance Test) is held every year for admission to 2-year B.Ed courses in Telangana colleges. It was conducted by Kakatiya University in 2025 on behalf of TGCHE. The application form opens in the first week or second week of march 2026 and continues for one and half month. The exam takes place in June first week 2026

Exam Details
Online CBT with 150 MCQs (General English 10, Teaching Aptitude 20, General Knowledge 10, Methodology 110) for 150 marks, 2 hours duration. Qualifying marks: 40% for General, 35% for SC/ST/BC.
Candidates must meet specific nationality, age, educational, and subject-wise criteria for TG EDCET 2026 B.Ed admissions.
Nationality & Locality
Indian nationals satisfying Telangana’s local/non-local status per the 1974 Educational Institutions Order. No upper age limit; minimum 19 years as of July 1, 2026.
TG EDCET 2026 eligibility criteria BEd admission
Bachelor’s (BA/BSc/BCom/BE/BTech/BSc Home Science/BCA/BBM/BBA) or Master’s degree with 50% marks (45% for BE/BTech with Science/Math; 40% for SC/ST/BC/PwD). Final-year students eligible. MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BL/LLB/professional degrees are ineligible.

TG/TS Edcet 2026 Admit card
The admit card will be released before the exam date. This comes out one week before the exam date. It contains your personal info such as your name, parents name, DOB, Exam Centre Name, Exam Date and Timing,Reporting time and instructions to follow
TS/TG Edcet 2026 Answer key
This is released after the exam is over. This comes out three or four days after the exam. Candidates have option\ to challenge the answer key if they are unsatisfied to it and will pay Rs.. 500 for challenging the answer key
TS/TG Edcet 2026 Result
After attending the challenges in the answer key, the university releases the result with 10 or 12 days. The result is out in PDF format and to secure scorecard they will log on to the website with their credential

Counselling
The seats allotment process is done through counselling process which is done online. Candidates who have qualified in the written test will register for online counselling they will upload their documents for verification and choose the college.
The counselling begins in the Last week of July/August and continues till September 2026
