TN Board Exam 2026 Passing Marks For Class 10th & 12th
Class 10 (SSLC)
- Minimum 35% marks are necessary in each subject to pass.
- For theory subjects, students need at least 35 out of 100.
- For practical subjects, minimum passing marks are 15 out of 25.
- For languages and subjects without practicals, a minimum of 25 out of 90 marks are necessary.
- Marks in optional language subjects do not count towards the final result for pass/fail.
Class 12 (HSC)
- tudents must score at least 35 out of 100 marks in each subject.
- In theory and practical combined subjects, they must obtain a minimum of 15 marks out of 70 in theory and appear for the practical exams.
- In vocational or practical-only subjects, they must score at least 20 out of 75 marks in practicals.
- The grading system evaluates students on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the highest grade.
