(Diploma/ITI) Exam Pattern Overview
The TNPSC Combined Technical Services Examination 2025 (Diploma/ITI Level) is designed to evaluate candidates on general knowledge, reasoning ability, and technical expertise. The exam consists of two papers: Paper I (OMR-based) includes Tamil Eligibility Test, General Studies, and Aptitude & Mental Ability, totaling 150 marks. Paper II is a subject-specific Computer-Based Test (CBT) carrying 300 marks. Each paper has a duration of 3 hours. A total of 450 marks are considered for selection.

TNPSC CTS Examination 2025 (Diploma/ITI) Minimum Qualifying Marks
In the TNPSC Combined Technical Services Examination (Diploma/ITI Level) 2025, evaluation of Paper II and Part B and Part C of Paper I will be undertaken only if the candidate secures the minimum qualifying marks of 40% (i.e., 60 marks) in Part A of Paper I, which is the Tamil Eligibility Test. This means that Part A serves as a qualifying section, and failure to secure the minimum marks will result in the non-evaluation of the remaining parts of the exam. Additionally, the questions in Part B (General Studies) and Part C (Aptitude and Mental Ability) of Paper I will be set in both English and Tamil to accommodate candidates from diverse language backgrounds.
