The Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) 2025 is conducted by the Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) for candidates aspiring to become teachers in government and aided schools across Uttarakhand. The exam is held annually and consists of two papers:
- UTET-I: For Primary Teachers (Classes I-V)
- UTET-II: For Upper Primary Teachers (Classes VI-VIII).

For UTET-I (Primary Level: Classes I-V)
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR
- 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
- 2-year Diploma in Special Education
- Final-year candidates in these courses are also eligible
For UTET-II (Upper Primary Level: Classes VI-VIII)
- Graduation with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR
- 4-year B.El.Ed OR
- 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
- Final-year candidates in teacher training programs can apply.

UTET-II (Upper Primary)
- Subjects: Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics & Science (for Science/Math teachers) or Social Studies (for Social Studies teachers)

- Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
- No negative marking.
