In this table you can check detailed eligibility and experienc according to post.Post Required Qualifications Experience Required Additional Requirements / Notes Professor MD/MS/DNB/PhD in the concerned subject 8 years post-PG experience Must have 3 years as Associate Professor OR 3 years as Specialist Medical Officer in Armed Forces teaching hospital, At least 2 research publications as first three authors – Completed Basic Course in Biomedical Research – Must complete Basic Course in Medical Education if broad specialty is taught at UG level- For Aviation/Marine Medicine: 2 years in Flying Squadron/Diving & Escape Training School = 1 year teaching experience – Senior Consultant with 3 years as PG teacher in NBE recognized institute can be eligible Associate Professor MD/MS/DNB/PhD in the concerned subject 5 years post-PG experience – 4 years as Assistant Professor in recognized medical institution OR 5 years if appointed directly in Govt medical institution – Armed Forces Specialist Medical Officer: 5 years clinical experience, including 3 years teaching as Assistant Professor – At least 2 research publications as first three authors – Completed Basic Course in Biomedical Research – Must complete Basic Course in Medical Education if broad specialty is taught at UG level- Aviation/Marine Medicine: max 4 years in Flying Squadron/Diving School = 2 years teaching experience – Non-teaching consultant with 10 years in 220+ bed govt hospital eligible Assistant Professor MD/MS/DNB/PhD in the concerned subject Varies (1–2 years generally) – One year as Senior Resident/Demonstrator/Tutor after PG degree OR – Non-teaching consultant/Specialist/Medical Officer with 2 years experience in 220+ bed govt hospital eligible – Diploma holders with 4–6 years Senior Resident/teaching experience before 08.06.2017 eligible – Must complete Basic Course in Biomedical Research within 2 years of appointment
