Yes, the long continues! The WBJEE result’s declartion delayed which was expected today August 7. Meanwhile PUBDET result date is out it will be declared August 9.The delay was because of a court case. So picture was made clear by the court, and WBJEE decided to declare the result.

WBJEE 2025 is a state-level entrance exam for admission into Engineering, Pharmacy, and Architecture courses in West Bengal. Candidates can appear in Paper I (Mathematics), Paper II (Physics & Chemistry), or both. The merit list is prepared based on exam scores, and tie-breaking rules apply if two or more students get the same score. If scores still tie, preference is given based on age (older gets priority) and application number (earlier gets priority). In addition, students can also get admission in West Bengal engineering colleges through JEE Main 2025, as up to 10% of seats in self-financed colleges are reserved for them. GMR Vs PMR (Rank Eligibility)
| Candidates Appearing in Both Paper I and Paper II | If candidates appear in both Paper I (Mathematics) and Paper II (Physics & Chemistry), you are eligible for two types of ranks: 1) General Merit Rank (GMR) – for admission in Engineering courses. 2) Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) – for admission in Pharmacy courses. This means, if you give both papers, you will have more options to choose from — Engineering or Pharmacy. You can apply to all participating colleges based on your rank. |
| Candidates Appearing Only in Paper-II: | If candidates appear in only Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry), you are eligible for PMR only, which is the Pharmacy Merit Rank. 1) This rank is valid for admission in Pharmacy courses only. 2) you will NOT be eligible for admission to Pharmacy at Jadavpur University with PMR only. |

WBJEEB will prepare the merit list based on how much each candidate scores in the entrance exam. Every student will be able to check and download their own rank card online, which will show their total marks and rank.

Final Tie-Breaking Rules (If Scores Are Still the Same)
- Date of Birth (DOB) – The older candidate will get preference over the younger one.
- Application Number – If the tie still remains, the candidate with the lower (earlier) application number will get preference.

Admission Through JEE (Main) 2025 in West Bengal
Yes, candidates will get admission through the JEE Mains 2025 Score at West Bengal Colleges. Full information below:
- Students who have appeared in JEE (Main) 2025 can get admission in engineering colleges in West Bengal.
- Up to 10% of the total approved seats in Self-Financed Engineering and Technology Colleges are reserved for JEE (Main) 2025 students.
- Only those students who are listed in the JEE (Main) 2025 merit list can apply under this quota.
- All the rules and eligibility that apply to WBJEE candidates will also apply to JEE (Main) students.
WBJEE 2025 On 7 August: Duplicate Rank Card
- You cannot download your confirmation page once the exam is over.
- You cannot download your Rank Card or OMR Image after the counselling process ends (So save and keep these documents safely).
- If you lose your Rank Card, Admit Card, or any other important document, you can still get a duplicate copy.
- You must apply to the WBJEE Board within 60 days after the result and Till Counseling Ends.
How to Get a Duplicate Rank Card?
- You must send an application to the board.
- Along with the application, you need to pay a processing fee of Rs 500 per document.
- The payment must be made by Bank Draft, in favour of: “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board”, Payable at Kolkata.
