IGNOU Interview Schedule for Ph.D. Students- IGNOU has released the schedule of the Interview for PHD courses on 22 August. The interview Date is 1 September for Home Science and September 8 for Physics. Research Proposal
The candidate will require their research proposal of 1000 to 1500 words. This has be mailed before or on 28 August 2025 to heenakbijli@ignou.ac. Candidate will bring three copies of their research proposal on the day of the Interview
Weightage
Category A candidate’s interview will have 100% weightage, whereas category B candidates’ interview will have 30% weightage and NET score 70% weightage.
Parameter for Weightage
Research Methodology-40 percent
Subject Specific knowledge-40 per cent
Communication skill assessed during the interview-20 percent through oral question and or essay writing
Scope for Non-Eligible Candidates
Non-eligible candidates having grievances should send the required documents within 3 days from the date of publication of the interview schedule for consideration.
Candidates have to bring the following document in original for verification as well as photocopies of these one set. Candidates must note that their document will be verified only then they get permission for interview.

SSC Certificate for Date of Birth Original Graduation,
Post-Graduation Mark Sheets, Degrees and Certificates and

In case of JRF candidates, bring your JRF award letter, which will be checked for validity.
