IPMAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To Apply for Integrated Programmed in Management Aptitude Test 2026 Eligibility criteria is different across different IIMs (Indian Institute of Managment).

• For IIM Indore, candidates should be born on or after August 1, 2006, and have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2023, 2024, or 2025 with no minimum percentage requirement.
• IIM Rohtak requires a minimum of 60% in Standard X/SSC and Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examinations for General, NC-OBC, and EWS categories.

Stream and Nationality

• Eligible for all streams: Science, Commerce, Arts.
• Indian citizens, or international applicants with equivalent qualifications.

• Total duration: 120 minutes (2 hours).
• Marking scheme: +4 for every correct answer, -1 for every incorrect answer.
• Each section must be completed within its dedicated 40-minute slot; you cannot shift time between sections.

• Start with Verbal Ability: Since it carries the highest weightage (50%), begin strong and do not spend excessive time on any single comprehension or grammar question.
• Quantitative MCQ: Aim to solve easier questions first to ensure a solid base score, then tackle moderate ones.
• Quantitative SA: These are descriptive problems with no negative marking. Take calculated risks here and ensure you attempt every question—accuracy matters more than speed.
• Practice mock tests: Simulate the exam with dedicated 40-minute slots per section to develop comfort with timing constraints.
• Review regularly: Analyze sectional performance after every mock to shift focus toward weaker areas during preparation.
• Skip and revisit strategy: In MCQ sections, if a question is taking too much time, mark it for review and attempt the next one—come back only if time allows.
