The JEE Main 2026. NTA has announced the date for application form correction window for Session 1, it will  open from December 1 to December 2, 2025 (up to 11:50 PM). The registration process is closing on 27 November or it can extend. We will update you on the same.

It will be advisable for the candidates to check their application once again when the correction window opens, though they can be confident that the details submitted by them will be correct.,

During this period, candidates can log in to the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in and make necessary corrections to their application forms.

Candidates can edit important details such as name, category, exam city, qualification information, date of birth, gender, and paper choice. However, not all fields are editable, so candidates should refer to official guidelines.

The correction window is a one-time opportunity, and once corrections are submitted and the window closes, no further changes will be allowed. If the correction results in any fee difference, the candidate must pay the additional fee accordingly.

Make sure to complete corrections before the deadline to avoid issues with the admit card and exam participation

How to Edit JEE Main 2026 details in Application form?

  1. Visit the official JEE Main website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  2. Click on the “Registered Candidate Login” link.
  3. Log in using your application number and password or date of birth.
  4. Navigate to the “Application Form Correction” section.
  5. Carefully locate the fields for name or date of birth in the form.
  6. Make the necessary corrections ensuring your name and DOB exactly match your Class 10 certificates.
  7. Review all changes thoroughly before submitting.
  8. Submit the corrected form.
  9. Download and print the correction slip for future reference.

What is not Editable during JEE Main 2026 correction window

During the JEE Main 2026 correction window, the following fields are NOT editable:

  • Registered mobile number
  • Email address used during registration
  • Permanent address and present correspondence address
  • Emergency contact details
  • Uploaded photograph

What is the State Code of Eligibility?

The State Code of Eligibility in JEE Main 2026 is the code of the state from which the candidate has passed their Class 12 or equivalent exam. It is based on the location of the qualifying school, not the candidate’s native place or current residence. For example, if a candidate passed Class 12 in Delhi but lives in Uttar Pradesh, their State Code of Eligibility will be Delhi. If a candidate appeared for improvement exams in another state, the code remains based on where they originally passed.
