NIOS Bridge Course

The application form is open for pursuing the bridge course for the teachers who are in their job or have BED degree. Why this bridge course to which NIOS says it will retain their eligibility.

Why this course?

  • Appointees, whose appointments were made on the basis of B.Ed. as a valid qualification between 28.06.2018 to 11.08.2023, must undergo this course to retain their eligibility.
  • Failure to complete the course within timeframe given by the concerned educational authorities will invalidate the appointment of such candidates.
  • This Bridge course will not be valid for the teachers seeking subsequent employments as primary teachers

The Six-Month Certificate (Bridge) Course in Primary Teacher Education boosts skills for in-service educators, bridging pedagogy gaps to meet modern standards.

Eligibility & Instructions

  • In-service primary teachers with B.Ed.
  • Appointed Jun 28, 2018–Aug 11, 2023 (per NCTE notification).
  • Complete within 1 year of NIOS start.
  • Non-completion voids appointment; valid only for current job retention.

  • B.Ed. marksheet/certificate.
  • Appointment letter.
