The AIBE 21 (All India Bar Examination XXI, also known as AIBE-XXI) application form for 2026 will be releasing on 11 February 2026, The Bar Council of India (BCI) officially announced the schedule.

It is important exam for the candidates who has completed their law degree to start their practice in the court of law. Without the valid AIBE certificate lawyers cannot practice in the court.

How to Apply for AIBE 21 (When the Form Opens)

  1. Visit the official website: https://www.allindiabarexamination.com
  2. Click on the “Registration” or “AIBE XXI Registration” link (it will appear under the latest notifications once live).
  3. Register as a new user (create login with email/mobile) or log in if already registered.
  4. Fill the online application form with details like:
    • Personal info (name, DOB, category)
    • Bar Council enrollment number (if enrolled; provisional/final)
    • Educational qualifications (LL.B details)
    • Address and contact
  5. Upload required scanned documents (in specified format/size, usually JPEG/PDF):
    • Photograph & signature
    • Enrollment certificate (if available) or undertaking (for final-year/final-semester students without backlogs, or those awaiting degree/enrollment)
    • Category certificate (if SC/ST/OBC)
    • Disability certificate (if PwD)
  6. Pay the application fee online (via debit/credit card, net banking, UPI):
    • General/OBC: ₹3,500 (including bank charges)
    • SC/ST: ₹2,500 (including bank charges)
  7. Submit the form and download the confirmation page for reference.

Eligibility (Quick Summary)

  • Indian LL.B graduates (3-year or 5-year) from BCI-recognized universities/colleges.
  • Final-year/final-semester students (without backlogs) can apply provisionally.
  • Graduates awaiting degree certificate or enrollment (or those who surrendered enrollment) are eligible with undertaking.
  • No age limit.

The application is fully online and mandatory for obtaining the Certificate of Practice to practice law in India. The syllabus includes updated topics on new criminal laws (BNS, BNSS, BSA)
