How to Download the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Answer Key (When Released)

  1. Visit the official NTA JEE Main website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/.
  2. Look for the link: “JEE (Main) 2026 – Session 1 Provisional Answer Key” or similar under Public Notices / Latest Updates.
  3. Log in using your Application Number and Date of Birth (or password).
  4. Download the provisional answer key PDF (shift-wise), your recorded response sheet, and question paper.
  5. Cross-check answers to estimate your score (each correct answer: +4 marks; incorrect: -1 mark; unattempted: 0).

Additional Notes

  • The answer key will be available for all shifts and papers (B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Planning).
  • Unofficial memory-based answer keys from coaching institutes are already available on their websites/YouTube for immediate score estimation, but use the official NTA key for accuracy.
  • Around 13 lakh candidates appeared in Session 1.
  • If you’re also preparing for Session 2 (April 2–9, 2026), registration is open now (last date: February 25, 2026) on the same portal.

Keep checking jeemain.nta.nic.in daily starting February 3–4 for the exact link and any notices. NTA often posts updates on their official X handle (@NTA_Exams) too. If the key is released by the time you read this, log in immediately!

You can calculate your score when the answer key releases. Check the correct answer and also check the wrong answer and the penalty for the wrong answer. Now you have the answer. Multiply.
