Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) invites online applications from Indian nationals (including OCI cardholders under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955) for various posts.The candidates interest in any of these posts satisfying the eligibility criteria mentioned against the post will apply online first and pay the application fee. They will also send the hard copy of the application fee to the address given at the bottom of this article
Shortlisting of the candidates
MU may conduct a written test (100 marks) if candidate numbers for any vacancy become unmanageable.

Shortlisting ratio: 1:5 (5 candidates per vacancy) will be called for the interview from those who qualify the written test.

Chemistry Positions
Senior Instrument Officer (Pay Level-12, 1 post): PhD Chemistry + 8 years OR MSc Chemistry + 12 years operating/maintaining NMR, MASS, EPR, IR, GC-MS, UV-Vis spectrometers in recognized labs. Desirable: 1-year computer diploma.
Junior Instrument Officer (Pay Level-10, 1 post): PhD Chemistry + 4 years OR MSc Chemistry (50% marks) + 6 years same instrument experience. Desirable: Computer diploma.
Physics Positions
Senior Scientific Officer (Pay Level-12, 1 post): PhD Physics + 5 years OR MSc Physics + 8 years teaching/research (excluding PhD period). Desirable: Course design/lab development/computer skills.
Scientific Officer (Pay Level-10, 1 post): PhD Physics + 3 years OR MSc Physics + 7 years teaching/research (excluding PhD period). Desirable: Same as above.
Engineering Position

Essential: MBBS or equivalent + 3 years public health administration experience.
