CLAT 2026 Exam Overview
The exam was conducted successfully on December 7. The exam recorded a significant turnout, with 96.83% of Undergraduate applicants and 92.45 % of Postgraduate applicants appearing for the test, which is a testament to the growing aspiration among students to secure admission to India’s premier National Law Universities (NLUs).
CLAT 2026 was conducted across 156 centres spanning 25 states, 93 cities, and 4 union territories, with 92,344 candidates applying—a 17% rise from the previous year. Of these, 75,009 registered for the Undergraduate (UG) programme and 17,335 for the Postgraduate (PG) programme. The male-female ratio remained roughly 0.72:1 overall.
