CLAT score for DU Law Admission SC.The Supreme Court on Monday upheld the Delhi High Court’s order allowing Delhi University to admit admissions to its newly launched five-year integrated law course on the basis of Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) – UG 2023 results. This decision takes into account the start of the current academic year. “This is an injunction and we cannot interfere. The Supreme Court will consider the matter next year. This year, the HC feels it is better to let CLAT rule,” the bench headed by CJI DY Chandrachud said. The bench, which also included Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra, was considering a plea challenging the HC’s September 18 order allowing colleges to admit students on the basis of CLAT scores for the current academic year 2023-24

A bench comprising Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Sanjeev Narula said: “This case involves crucial issues that need to be considered. DU’s senior advocate Pinky Anand claimed that when the Bar Council of India approved DU for a five-year law course, the course was not included in the CUET prospectus.

The central government and the University Grants Commission informed HC that as per the national education policy, CUET is compulsory for admission to general courses and universities can independently rely on CLAT, NEET and other examinations while providing support for admission to professional courses
