CSIR UGC NET 2025 registration last date extended: Now candidates will be able to apply till 26 June 2025 and last date for fee payment is 27 June 2025. The application process for CSIR UGC NET June 2025 has started in June. The entrance test is for five science papers. Joint CSIR-UGC NET is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’, and ‘admission to Ph.D. only’ in Indian universities and colleges and R&D establishments.

CSIR UGC NET 2025 Registration Starts: Application

• The official notification for the CSIR UGC NET 2025 June session was out on June 3, 2025.
• Application window: June 3 to June 23, 2025.
• Fee payment last date: June 24, 2025 (up to 11:59 PM)
• Correction window: June 25–26, 2025

Exam Dates

• The exam will be on July 26, 27, and 28, 2025
• The test is held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for five subjects: Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences

Purpose

• The CSIR UGC NET determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities and colleges

Exam Pattern

• The exam is three hours long, with three parts:
  • Part A: General Aptitude (common to all subjects)Part B: Subject-related MCQs
  • Part C: Higher-order scientific concepts and applications

Admit Card

• The admit card release date will be notified later; it will be available for download on the official website
