CUET 2025: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for Undergraduate (UG) admissions in 2025 is a crucial examination for students seeking admission to various central universities across India. The NTA every year releases CUET UG Application forms in the month of April, 2024. The Common university entrance test is being introduced for admission into all UG Programmes in all Central Universities for Academic Session 2024-25 under the Ministry of Education. The CUET (UG) 2024 is being offered in 380 cities, including 26 cities outside India.

EXAM PATTERN:

  1. Section I (Language Proficiency): English or Hindi (depending on the candidate’s preference)
  2. Section II (Domain-Specific Subjects): Subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen field (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology)
  3. Section III (General Test): General knowledge, current affairs, general mental ability, numerical ability, and logical and analytical reasoning

MEDIUM OF TEST

The Tests (other than the “Language” Test) are offered in 33 languages i.e. Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu, Arabic, Bodo, Chinese, Dogri, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Nepali, Persian, Russian and Santhali, Spanish, Sanskrit, Tibetan

MARKING SCHEME:

  • Exam mode: The examination is online in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
  • Questions Type: The question paper consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)type questions.
  • Language: There will be 33 languages (Language 1 A 13 and Language 1 B 20) for the UG-level course.
  • Time Duration: For Slot I, candidates will be given 3 hours 15 minutes 3 hours 45 minutes for Slot II.
  • of Sections: CUET UG will include 3sections Section IA, Section IB, Section II and Section III.
  • Total No. of Questions:175 (50 For Language 1A and 1B, 50 domain subject specific and 75 General Test) questions will be asked in the question paper.
  • Marking Scheme marks 4 for each correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

MARKING SCHEME:

  • There will be 1-marks for each correct answer.
  • Negative marking – 0.25 negative marking for every wrong answer.

ANSWER KEY

The NTA will release CUET UG Answer key after Conducting exam on Official website. If Candidate is not satisfied from given answer in answer key they can challenge on it. Candidate can challenge on the answer key with a non-refundable online payment of Rs. 200/- per Question challenged as processing charges. The provisional answer key likely to be displayed for two to three days. It is a national-level examination.

What is CUET UG Exam 2024?
