The DBT – Biotech Industrial Training Programme (BITP) 2025-26 under Skill Vigyan is a national initiative providing hands-on industrial training to biotechnology and bioinformatics graduates and postgraduates across India. The program is managed by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, via the DBT-HRD Project Management Unit at the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad.

DBT Biotechnology Training 2025 Apply: Key Features
- Eligibility: Open to Indian citizens with B.E./ B.Tech./M.Sc/M.Tech./M.V.Sc/MBA in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or allied areas who have completed their degree. The program is also open in select states to graduates and postgraduates in allied subjects such as life sciences.
- Training Duration: 6 months, full-time, hands-on industrial training aimed at imparting practical skills in sectors including pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, agri-biotech, environmental biotech, therapeutic development, genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, and more.
- Stipend: Selected trainees receive a stipend (Rs. 10,000 per month for 6 months as per the latest DBT circulars). The host industry receives a bench fee (Rs. 23,350 per candidate).
- Implementation: Training is conducted at partnering biotech industries and select academic institutions across India, with substantial programs in states such as Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, etc., via their state biotechnology councils.

- Selection: Candidates are shortlisted based on a computer-based test and academic merit, and eligibility.
