AP LAWCET Eligibility Criteria
State requirement:
The candidate must belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh and satisfy Local / Non‑Local status as per Government of Andhra Pradesh Orders for 2026–27.
3 Year LL.B. course Through AP LAWCET
Academic qualification:
Passed any Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognized university, or an equivalent examination recognized by the concerned university.
Minimum marks (aggregate):
- General category: 45%
- BC (OBC) category: 42%
- SC/ST categories: 40%
If marks are below the above cut‑offs:
Candidate must have secured same or higher percentage (45% for General, 42% for BC, 40% for SC/ST) in any additional graduation or post‑graduation.
Rounding rule (percentage):
If a candidate secures:
- ≥44.5% (General) → treated as 45%
- ≥41.5% (BC) → treated as 42%
- ≥39.5% (SC/ST) → treated as 40%
in graduation (10+2+3 pattern).
5 Year LL.B. course Through AP LAWCET
Academic qualification:
Passed two‑year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the concerned university or Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh.
Minimum marks (aggregate):
- General category: 45%
- BC (OBC) category: 42%
- SC/ST categories: 40%
Rounding rule (percentage):
If a candidate secures:

2 Year LL.M. (LL.M./M.L.) course
Academic qualification:
- Must be holding a 3‑Year or 5‑Year LL.B. degree on the date of application, or
- Must be appearing for/appeared in the final year of 3‑Year/5‑Year LL.B. examination.
Final‑year candidates:
A candidate appearing for the 3‑Year/5‑Year LL.B. final‑year examination may appear for AP PGLCET in anticipation of results, but must pass the qualifying LL.B. examination with the required minimum marks by the time of admission/counselling.

AP LAWCET/PGLCET Most Important points
Rejection of application
The Convener or Common Entrance Test Committee may reject an application at any stage if:
- the application is incomplete,
- the candidate does not satisfy the prescribed eligibility conditions, or
- false or incorrect information is furnished.
Any change in caste/community or category shall not be allowed once the form is submitted. No correspondence will be entertained regarding such changes.
Choice of AP LAWCET Test and Fees
- The candidate must choose the appropriate test (3‑Year LL.B., 5‑Year LL.B., or LL.M.) very carefully, based on his/her qualification.
- The Convener, AP LAWCET & AP PGLCET is not responsible for wrong selection of any option in the online application.
- Application fee is non‑refundable under any circumstances.
Role of the Convener and Admissions
The Convener conducts the Common Entrance Test AP LAWCET / AP PGLCET under APSCHE but is not responsible for:
- making admissions, or
- allotting seats at the time of counselling.
Merit‑based allotment of seats will be done on the basis of rank obtained in the test and other conditions specified by the authority.
State and Local‑Status Requirement
Every candidate seeking admission through AP LAWCET & AP PGLCET must:
- belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh, and
- satisfy local / non‑local status requirements as per the Government of Andhra Pradesh Orders for every year.
Submission of Application and AP LAWCET/PGLCET Hall Ticket
- The Convener is not responsible for non‑submission of the application within the notified date and time for any reason.
- The candidate must download the hall ticket from the official website:
https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in only.
The candidate must preserve the hall ticket and produce it:
- at the time of the entrance test, and
- later at the time of admission.
The hall ticket is not transferable. Any tampering will lead to automatic disqualification.
AP LAWCET During the Examination
- No candidate will be allowed into the exam hall after the scheduled start time, under any circumstance.
- Each candidate is allotted a specific seat; candidates must occupy only their allotted seat.
- Changing the room or seat on one’s own will lead to cancellation of candidature, with no plea entertained.
Candidates Must Carry:
- The downloaded hall ticket,
- a valid photo ID proof, and
- a good ballpoint pen.
- Rough sheets will be provided by the test centre, if required.
After The AP LAWCET/AP PGLCET Exam and Admission
Appearance at AP LAWCET / AP PGLCET does not guarantee consideration for admission. Admission is subject to:
- fulfilling the eligibility criteria, and
- clearing the entrance test with the prescribed qualifying marks.
Mere passing of the entrance examination does not give a right to admission; the candidate must satisfy all eligibility norms given in the instruction booklet.
Relaxation‑based rank cancellation:
- Ranks obtained by SC/ST candidates with relaxation in qualifying marks will be cancelled if their claim is found invalid at any time.
AP LAWCET/PGLCET Answer key objections and fee
- Candidates may raise objections to the preliminary answer key only during the designated objection window.
- Failure to submit an objection within this period = deemed acceptance of the key; no further challenges are allowed.
Fee per objection: Rs. 300 (Three Hundred Rupees).
- This fee is refundable only for valid objections.
- The committee’s decision on validity is final and no further correspondence will be entertained.
