GATE Result 2024 Overview

GATE Result 2024 overview- The GATE result was declared on 16 March 2024. The Indian Institute of Sciences Bangalore (IISc Bangalore) declared the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024.

There were over 8.26 lakh applications were received for over 30 test papers. Out of this, only 6,53,292 candidates appeared for the exam.

1,29,268 Candidates have qualified for the GATE 2023 according to the cutoff for that category and test paper,  this includes the category of (GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD) is 1,29,268.

The GATE score will be valid for three years

GATE registration has increased this time, it saw an increase of 23 per cent jump in enrollment, as last year about 6.70 lakh candidates registered for GATE for 29 papers, in total. Out of these, 5.17 lakh candidates appeared for the exam in more than 500 centres across the country with an overall attendance of about 77 per cent.

GATE 2024 was conducted by IISc Bengaluru and seven IITs these are IIT Bombay,IIT Delhi,IIT Guwahati,IIT Kanpur,IIT Kharagpur,IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee on behalf of National Coordination Board(NCB) Department of Higher Education Ministry of Education Government Of India.

GATE qualified candidate can look of r admission with possible financial assistance to Master’s programme and direct PhD programme in Engineering,Technology,Architecture,Science, and Humanities in institution that are supported by Ministry of Education and other government agencies.

GATE Score is also used by some colleges and institutions for admission to PG without MOE scholarships.

GATE Score is used by several PSUs companies for recruitment in their department.

GATE 2024 was conducted for a total of 30 test papers it comprises full paper and sectional papers. Candidates have the choice to appear for One or Two papers.
