IIT Kharagpur MBA 2026 Eligibility
- B.Tech/BE/B.Pharm (4-year) OR Master’s in Science/Economics/Commerce (Maths/Stats at UG level).
- Minimum: 60% (General/EWS/OBC), 55% (SC/ST/PwD).
- Final-year students are also eligible.
Admission Process (2026-28)
- CAT Score (90+ percentile typical cutoff).
- Shortlisting for PI/WAT (based on CAT 40%, Academics 25%, Work Exp 10%).
- Personal Interview + Written Ability Test.
- Final merit: CAT (35%), PI (25%), WAT (10%), Profile (30%).

IIT Kharagpur MBA 2026 Selection Process
I. Stage I – Short-listing for Personal Interview (PI)
Attending the PI is a mandatory part of the admission process. The applicants are short-listed for PI based on CAT 2025 scores, past academic performance, and other criteria, as mentioned below. The applicants must have the minimum CAT 2024 percentile, as mentioned in (ref. Table 1), to be eligible to be considered for shortlisting for PI.

II. Stage II – Final Selection and Offer of Admission to MBA
In the second stage of the admission process, final selection will be based on the cumulative score of the application rating (AR), performance in CAT 2024, and the candidate’s performance in online PI process. 10 marks will be given to all female applicants for GDF. The weightage given to different components.

The candidate having two MTech/ME/MS/Moharma degree will get additional Mark it applies same for the professional qualification
Work experience will be taken into account and will get extra marks for this. The experience should be after their education and experience in training/apprentice or any other form will not be counted

How to Apply for IIT Kharagpur MBA (Post-CAT 2025)
Domestic candidates must follow these steps after appearing for CAT 2025:
Step 1: Fill the complete online application form on IIT Kharagpur’s ERP portal: https://erp.iitkgp.ac.in/IITKGPApplications/index. Incomplete forms will be rejected.
Step 2: Pay the application fee during submission: ₹1600 (General/NC-OBC), ₹800 (SC/ST/PwD). Female candidates pay the same as males in their category.
Overseas Applicants: Non-domestic candidates with valid GMAT scores apply via IIT Kharagpur’s International Relations portal: https://international.iitkgp.ac.in/howtoapply/.
