Post Basic BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria from the Official Bulletin
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 level exam from a recognized board and completed the GNM course from an Indian Nursing Council-recognized institute, holding a valid RNRM registration from any State Nursing Council. This ensures basic academic and professional qualifications for the program.
Age Limits
West Bengal State Government employees face an upper age limit of 53 years as of the application deadline. Other candidates, including ESI and Central Government employees, have no upper age restriction.
Work Experience Rules for JEPBN 2026
State Government employees need at least 3 years of continuous, regularized service by the application cutoff. No prior work experience is required for non-state government applicants, including those from ESI or Central Government sectors.
WBJEE JEPBN 2026 Ranking Overview
WBJEEB prepares merit ranks using candidates’ scores from the Common Entrance Test, styled as General Merit Rank (GMR). Candidates can download individual Rank Cards showing their score and rank, but no public rank/score list is published to protect privacy.
GMR Preparation for JEPBN
GMR ranks are assigned in descending order of total marks from Paper-I and Paper-II combined. Ties are resolved via specific tie-breaking rules outlined in the official bulletin (section 2.7 or 2.9). Separate category ranks (e.g., SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PwD Rank, EWS Rank) are also provided for applicable candidates.
Counselling and Category Rules for WBJEE JEPBN 2026
Seat allotment and counselling rely solely on GMR, not category ranks, which serve only as informational for candidates. Category ranks stem from application data but require document verification by allotted institutes during counselling—if invalid, the category rank is cancelled, shifting the candidate to general merit without revising others’ ranks.

Reservation Policy for WBJEE JEPBN 2026

Domicile Restriction in JEPBN 2026
Reserved seats apply only to West Bengal-domiciled candidates, with the exact list announced by authorities before counselling.

OBC-Specific Rules
Pre-31.12.2009 OBC certificates require revalidation specifying Category-A or Category-B. While seat reservations exist for these OBC groups, no such reservation applies under West Bengal’s TR policy.
