  • Those who appeared in Class XII in 2026 and have been placed in compartment / supplementary are not eligible for admission in 2026‑27, as they are not considered “passed” in Class XII for that year’s admission cycle.

Course Fee Waiver

The fee‑relaxation (concession/waiver) scheme announced by the University of Delhi (UoD) for admission to its programmes, keeping in view Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) and support for economically challenged students.

1. Who is eligible

  • Only otherwise eligible candidates (meeting all academic/entrance criteria) whose combined parental annual income (father + mother) falls within the specify slabs are covered.

2. Fee‑waiver slabs

(I) Parental income ≤ ₹4 lakh per year

  • 90% waiver/concession of the total admission fee at the time of admission.
  • The candidate still has to pay:
    • Full examination fee (per semester/annual as applicable).
    • Full hostel fee (if opting for hostel).

(II) Parental income > ₹4 lakh and < ₹8 lakh per year

  • 50% waiver/concession of the total admission fee at the time of admission.
  • The candidate still has to pay:
    • Full examination fee.
    • Full hostel fee (as applicable).

5% of the total seats in the programme reserved for the “Children/Widows of Personnel of the Armed Forces” (CW) category.

Laptop Reimbursement Scheme What the scheme offers

  • Reimbursement of laptop cost only (tablets or other devices are not permissable).
  • The reimbursement is one‑time and capped at ₹50,000 (Rupees Fifty Thousand Only), or actual laptop cost, whichever is less.

Conditions for reimbursement

  1. Full admission fee paid:
    • Reimbursement is only permissible if the student has paid the full admission fee for the first academic year.
  2. Deadline to apply:
    • Last date to apply is 60 days after the closure of all rounds of admission.
    • No applications will be accepted after this deadline.
  3. Valid invoice/bill/receipt:
    • The invoice (with GST details) must be in the student’s own name.
    • Purchase must not be on EMI/installment basis.
    • Payment must be made only in Indian Rupees (INR); transactions in foreign currency will not be accepted.
  4. Payment mode and bank account:
    • The reimbursed amount will be credited to the bank account provided at the time of registration.
  5. Fraud/ false declaration:
    • If any false declaration or forged/ineligible invoice is found (even later), the amount will be recovered from the student.

How to apply?

      • Death certificates of both parents.

    • Valid employment certificate of parent(s) issued by the concerned DU authority.
    • Only the employment certificate uploaded on the DU admission dashboard is acceptable; Aadhaar, ID card, etc., are not valid.

5. PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability) documents

  • Disability certificate in the candidate’s name, issued by a recognized Government hospital, carrying:
    • Photograph of the candidate,
    • Disability details.
  • Two situations:
    • Certificates issued after 01.06.2021 → must follow the Gazette Notification No. 1736(E) dated 05.05.2021 and be linked to the UDID portal.
    • Certificates issued before 01.06.2021 → will be considered as per existing rules of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and DU.

6. Single Girl Child Quota

  • Father / Mother / Guardian (if parents are deceased) must upload a notarized affidavit in the prescribed format (Annexure V), declaring that the candidate is the only girl child in the family.
  • Affidavit must be attached to the DU admission dashboard in the required scanned format.
