The Lok Sabha election 2024 dates will be announced today by the election commission. The tenure of this parliament ends on June 16, 2024. So it is mandatory to hold elections before that.

Phase 4 voting on May 13

Phase 7 voting on June 1

The tenure of Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and Odisha assemblies will also end in June

There are 97 crore voters to vote for in the upcoming polls.

The BJP will fight for its third consecutive term this time; in 2029, it won 303 seats, while the Congress got 52 seats. It could not muster enough numbers to claim the position of Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
