The application form is open for the recruitment of Management trainees in technical field. The post is permanent in nature. SAIL MT Recruitment 2025 Key details
- Total Vacancies: 124 Management Trainee (Technical) posts across disciplines including Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Metallurgy.
- Application Dates: Online applications are open from November 15, 2025, to December 5, 2025.
- Eligibility: Candidates must have a degree in Engineering/Technology with at least 65% marks (55% for reserved categories) in the relevant branch.
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as of December 5, 2025, with relaxations as per government norms.
- Selection Process: Comprises a Computer-Based Test (CBT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI).
- Exam Pattern: CBT consists of 150 questions to complet in 120 minutes.
- Salary: Generally ranges from ₹50,000 to ₹1,60,000 per month in the E-1 grade scale.
- After Training Pay Band of Assistant Manager in E1 grade and placed in the scale of pay of ₹ 60000-180000/-.
- Application Fee: ₹1050 for General/OBC/EWS categories, ₹300 for SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/Departmental candidates.

SAIL MT Recruitment 2025 Selection
Eligible candidates will appear for an Online Examination-Computer based Test (CBT) to be held tentatively in January-2026/February-2026
For final selection, the merit list will be out by combining the scores of Online ExaminationComputer based Test (CBT), GD and Interview with the weightage of 75:10:15 in that order. The final merit list would be out separately for each category on the basis of combined total marks obtained by the candidate in the selection process, i.e. Online Examination, GD and Interview. The selection of the candidate will be out in the order of merit

Exam Pattern
The Online Examination- 200 Marks consisting of two parts, viz. first part comprising
of Domain Knowledge Test (duration 40 minutes) for 100 marks and second part comprising of
Aptitude Test (duration 80 minutes) for total 100 marks; consisting of four segments, viz.
Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, Reasoning and General Awareness of 25 marks each

No SAIL MT recruitment is only for engineering graduate in various discipline there is no scope for other graduate here
The last date to apply is December 5 2025 online only
The selection process includes CBT exam,Group discussion and last Interview and document verification
No Gate score is not mandatory you have done BE or BTech you can apply for the Management trainee
The qualifying Marks for General and EWS are 50 percent and for SC/ST/OBC NCL it is 40 percent. It is advisable that the candidates must achieve than this for selection in the next step
