The UGC has decrecognized the Manipur based Sangai International University for its non response to the UGCGrant required details. But University was non responsive to the letter.
University Grants Commission has sent show cause notice for this action date 19 December 2023 which states that why the action should not be taken against the said University to remove the name from the list of Universities that is managed by UGC.
The UGC has sent this copy to the Higher Education Department of Manipur and asked the university and department of higher education Manipur. But no reply came from either side.
The UGC has issued warning to the students and their parents that Sangai University is delisted from UGC list of University so this university cannot issue any degree. If the university does so it will not be accredited by UGC.
So Sangai International University is de recognized and warned students not to take admission in this particular university
