Up tablet Yojana online registration form

The Uttar Pradesh government is going to distribute tablets and smartphones to the students studying in the UP colleges/institutes.

This distribution will take place in around March 2024. Around 12.35 Lakh smartphones will be distributed. The government has instructed the mobile manufacturing companies.

The cost of one smartphone is around 9900. UPDESCO is the nodal agency to purchase these smartphones on behalf of the UP Government.

Distribution of tablets and smartphones will take place once the College/Institute-wise data of all students has been fetched to the Digi Shakti Portal by Universities/Boards/Societies/Councils through a specified technical process. Once the data is collected, the concerned bodies/departments will scrutinize and verify the details. After verification, respective Colleges/Institutes/Universities will schedule the distribution program which will be informed to all the concerned authorities and students.

This scheme will help students in enhancing their knowledge and skill sets through the use of information and communication technologies. The scheme will also help in opening new avenues of education as well as job opportunities for the students. Along with this, students can access various educational course materials available on Web and Mobile Apps and build their expertise in the area of science, technology, etc. using the internet, hence improving the overall quality of education in the State

The students are not required to apply on any portal to avail of the scheme benefits. The students will be informed about the status by their respective college/Institute/University Campus through SMS/Email/Notice/Official Website.

To avail of this a student must be studying in the UP-government colleges/Institutions/Universities. The student who is a resident of UP but is studying outside the UP is not eligible to avail of this scheme.

How to register in UP TABLET YOJANA ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM on the Portal to avail of this scheme?

It is important to note that students are not required to do any registration on the portal. Their data will be provided by the institutes via their universities. A technical process has been defined for the same. All Universities/Colleges/institutes and Education Bodies will be informed about the process through email notification or notice on the official website.

How will students know about the distribution date?

It is advisable to regularly visit the official portal of Digi Shakti and the official website of their college/Institutes/University to be updated or they can contact their respective college/institution/University where they are pursuing their course.
