VITEEE 2025 is held for admission into B.Tech courses. The application form opens in November of preceding year and the whole process of admission is completed by first week of July 2025. Vellore Institute is ranked 11 in NIRF ranking 2023. The application form is released online.

The admission will be offered on the basis of performance in the entrance test and counselling will be done for admission. The candidate can choose the campus for his/her studies

VITEEE 2025 Eligibility

You should be Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO / OCI. NRI applicants can directly apply under ‘NRI Category’ through NRI application form. Foreign applicants who studied/studying abroad can apply directly through the International application form.

Age

Candidates born on or after 1st July 2003 are eligible to apply for engineering admission 2025.

The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic. Applicants should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling/admission, failing which their candidacy for admission will be disqualified.

The final examination of the 10+2 system of higher secondary examination conducted by the State Board; CBSE,ISCE

High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. (Physics & Mathematics – HL, Chemistry – SL)

General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level. Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for Undergraduate Engineering programmes.

Applicants who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination with grade/CGPA converted to percentage

Percentage required

60 percent in PCM/PCB/PCMB

For reserved candidates it is 50 percent

Applicants hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the Northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. Certificate to prove community / nativity should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.

Other Requirement

PCMB/PCM applicants who have attempted Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude (MPCEA) in VITEEE 2025 are eligible for all B. Tech Programmes

PCMB/PCB applicants who have attempted Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude (BPCEA) in VITEEE 2025 & PCB applicants who have attempted Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude (MPCEA) in VITEEE 2025 are eligible for admission.

Exam Pattern:

  • Mode: Online (Computer-Based Test).
  • Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English, and Aptitude.
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Total Questions: 125 (40 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, 5 in English, and 10 in Aptitude).
  • Marking Scheme: Each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking

Syllabus:

  • The syllabus includes topics from the 10+2 level Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
  • English section will test comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary.
  • Aptitude section will test data interpretation, data sufficiency, syllogism, number series, coding and decoding, and cloze test.
