Candidates appearing in both Paper-I and Paper-II qualify for General Merit Rank (GMR) and BHA Merit Rank (BMR), making them eligible for all courses including BHA.[query]

- Both papers: Eligible for GMR + BMR (all courses).[query]

Both papers total 100 questions (115 marks) with Category-1 (1 mark each, -1/4 negative marking) and Category-2 (2 marks each, no negative marking).[query]

Paper-I (non-BHA courses): 11th-12th standard Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Basic English, Logical Reasoning from recognized Indian Boards/Councils.[query]

Scoring Rules
Category-1 (1 mark each, -1/4 negative):
- Correct: +1 mark
- Wrong/multiple options: -0.25 marks
- Unattempted: 0 marks
Category-2 (2 marks each, no negative):
- All correct options: +2 marks
- Any incorrect option: 0 marks
- Partial correct (no incorrect): 2 × (marked correct/total correct)
- Unattempted: 0 marks
WBJEEB exams use OMR sheets evaluated by Optical Mark Recognition, requiring precise marking techniques.
JENPAS 2026 Application form and Eligibility
OMR Marking Rules
- Use blue/black ballpoint pen to completely darken the correct circle/bubble.
- Invalid markings (pencil, incomplete filling, ticks, dots, overwriting, scratching, erasures, white ink, marks outside bubble) cause wrong/partial reading.
Critical Notes
- No editing/changing/erasing responses once marked.
- WBJEEB not responsible for marking errors or ambiguous responses.

- Ranked by descending marks; ties resolved by tie-breaking rules

- Seat allotment follows GMR order (not category ranks)
BMR (Paper-II scores):
- Used exclusively for BHA course
- Ranked by descending Paper-II marks; ties resolved by tie-breaking rules
- Includes category ranks for information
- BHA seat allotment follows BMR order
Category Rank Rules
- Category ranks based on application data; verified at counselling
- Invalid documents = category rank cancelled, candidate moves to General category
- Other candidates’ ranks not revised
