IAT IISER Counselling 2024: The Indian Institutes of Science education and research (IISER) conduct the IISER Aptitude test (IAT) for admission to their BS-MS dual degree programs. The Registration for Counselling will be begin on July 18, 2024. The Counseling Process is a crucial step for Candidates who have successfully cleared the IAT. Eligible Candidates need to register for the counselling process online. This involves filling out a d3tailed application form and paying a counselling fee, is applicable.

Rank list

Rank list will be prepared on the basis of IAT Exam. IISERs will release a rank list and cut-off marks. Candidates who meet the cut-off criteria are eligible for counselling.

IAT IISER Counselling 2024 Seat Acceptance Fee

General / EWS/OBC/ OBC-NCL/PwD/KM/Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) categories.Rs. 35,000/- (Rs. 10,000/- is non-refundable fee)
SC/ST categories.Rs. 17, 500/- (Rs. 5000/- is non-refundable fee)

Non-Refundable fee at the time of Seat withdraw:

  • For withdraws after round-wise deadline but before final withdrawal date Rs. 10,000/-  and For SC/ST Candidates Rs. 5,000/- will be deducted. Rest of the SAF will be refunded.

How to Apply for IAT IISER Counselling 2024

The IAT IISER 2024 counselling process typically involves several steps to ensure a smooth admission procedure for candidates. Here is an overview of the process:

Step-1: Candidates must register for the counselling process on the official IISER admissions portal.

Step-2: Provide necessary details such as IAT application number, personal information, and educational qualifications.

Step-3: After registration, candidates can fill in their preferences for IISERs based on their ranks and personal choices.

Step-4: It is crucial to prioritize the choices carefully as the seat allotment will be based on these preferences and the candidate’s rank.

Step-5: Candidates must upload scanned copies of required documents for verification.

Step-6: Essential documents usually include:

  1. IAT scorecard
  2. Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
  3. Category certificate (if applicable)
  4. Passport-sized photographs
  5. Valid ID proof

Step-7: Based on the candidate’s rank, preferences, and availability of seats, the seat allotment will be done.

Step-8: The allotment results will be published on the official IISER portal.

Step-9: Candidates who are allotted seats must confirm their acceptance by paying a seat acceptance fee within the specified time.

Step-10: Failing to accept the seat within the given timeline may result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat.

Step-11: After accepting the seat, candidates must report to the allotted IISER for further admission formalities.

Step-12: This may include physical verification of documents, payment of the remaining fees, and other administrative procedures.

Step-13: If seats remain vacant after the initial round of counselling, further rounds may be conducted.

Step-14: Waitlisted candidates may be considered for allotment in subsequent rounds.

Step-15: If a candidate wishes to withdraw from the admission process after accepting a seat, there is usually a provision for withdrawal.

Setp-16: The withdrawal process and refund policy will be specified by the IISERs.
