NEET UG Counselling 2025 counselling process and dates: the registration process will start after the NEET UG 2025 result announce. The counselling is based on All India quota of 15 percent seats,State quota. Candidate can register themselves on the MCC website.
The registration will start little earlier this year if everything goes well. It is expected to start in June or July.
The counselling has its phases that is given below
Counselling is a seat allocation to the candidates who qualifies the NEET UG 2025 entrance exam.

- First step in this direction is to register for counselling it is for AIQ & Deemed Universities: MCC website
- For State Quota: Respective state counselling portals
Fill in personal, academic, and NEET details.
Pay the registration and security deposit fees (refundable if no seat is allotted).
Seat Allotment (Round-Wise)
The seat is allotted in this according NEET UG rank, category, preferences and availability of seats
- AIQ seat distribution:
- 15% seats in government medical/dental colleges (except J&K)
- 100% seats in Deemed Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU, etc.)
- ESIC, AFMC, and private medical colleges participate in different quota categories.
- Allotment Results: Released in the form of a seat allotment list & allotment letter
Choice Filling & Locking
Candidate will select colleges and courses according to the priority from the available options
You must note that your choices of course and college can be edited before locking. Once it is locked you cannot change it
- If a candidate does not lock choices, the last saved choices are considered final.
Reporting to Allotted College
- Candidates who receive a seat must report to the allotted college within the given time.
- Documents verification and payment of admission fees are done at this stage.
- Candidates can either:
- Accept the seat and complete admission.
- Opt for upgradation (if applicable) for the next round.
Second Round of Counselling
Second round is conducted for remaining vacant seats.
Candidates who did not get a seat in Round 1 can participate.
Candidates who joined in Round 1 but wish to upgrade can also participate.
After Round 2, candidates who are allotted seats must join, or they may lose eligibility for further rounds.
Mop-Up Round (For AIQ & Deemed Universities)
- Conducted for vacant seats after Round 2.
- Fresh registrations may be allowed in some cases.
- Important to note that candidates who joined seats in previous rounds cannot participate.
- Seats allotted in the Mop-Up round must be accepted, as there is no further up-gradation.
Stray Vacancies Round
This is the last round of counselling
Conducted for vacant seats after Round 2.
Fresh registrations may be allowed in some cases.
Candidates who joined seats in previous rounds cannot participate.

Marks required for counselling
- General Category: 50th percentile (Expected Marks: 720-164)
- SC/ST/OBC Category: 40th percentile (Expected Marks: 163-129)
- PwD (General): 45th percentile (Expected Marks: 163-146)
- Candidates must register for counselling on the official MCC website.

Registration Process:
- Registration involves filling in personal details, payment of fees, and choice filling (selection of preferred colleges and courses).
- After the registration, the authorities will release a seat allotment list based on the merit and preferences of the candidates.
