NEET UG 2025 Exam on May 4 – Important Instructions, Do’s and Don’ts for Exam Day

The NEET UG 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 4, 2025 (Sunday). The Exam will continue from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. To avoid any last-minute confusion and stress, it is very important to follow the exam day guidelines carefully. Here we bring you all the important instructions, dos, and don’ts to help you stay calm and confident on exam day.

What to carry on NEET Exam Day?

Here are the things you must carry to the NEET exam centre:

  1. NEET UG 2025 Admit Card – Printed on A4 size paper (with your photo and signature).
  2. Valid ID Proof – Any one of the following:
  3. Aadhar Card
  4. PAN Card
  5. Passport
  6. Driving License
  7. Voter ID
  8. School ID (for Class 12 appearing candidates)
  9. Passport-size Photograph – Same as the one used in the application form.
  10. Transparent Water Bottle – Only transparent bottles are allowed.
  11. Simple Blue/Black Ballpoint Pen – NTA may also provide pens at the centre.
  12. Face Mask and Hand Sanitizer (as per safety guidelines, if applicable).

    NEET UG 2025: What NOT to Carry?

    You are not allowed to carry the following items inside the exam hall:

    • Mobile phones, smart watches, or any electronic device
    • Wallets, handbags, or pouches
    • Notes, books, or written material
    • Food items or packed eatables
    • Any kind of stationery other than the allowed pen
    • Jewellery or ornaments
    • Caps, sunglasses, digital watches

    Important: Wearing shoes with thick soles or clothes with large buttons is not allowed. Prefer light clothes with short sleeves.

    Dress Code for NEET UG 2025

    To avoid unfair practices, NTA has issued a strict dress code:

    • Boys: Light-colored T-shirt or shirt, trousers. No kurta, pajama, or jeans with big pockets.
    • Girls: Light-colored salwar or trousers with half-sleeve tops. No fancy clothing, badges, or brooches.
    • Footwear: Only slippers or low-heeled sandals are allowed. No shoes.

    Do’s for Exam Day

    • Reach Early: Try to reach the exam centre by 11:00 AM to avoid any delay or last-minute stress.
    • Follow Social Distancing: Maintain discipline at the centre as per COVID-19 or safety norms.
    • Cooperate with Staff: Show your documents when asked and follow all instructions of the invigilators.
    • Check Your Seat Number: Sit only at your assigned place to avoid confusion.
    • Listen Carefully: Pay attention to instructions given by the invigilator before the exam starts.
    • Fill OMR Sheet Properly: Use the correct pen and fill the bubbles carefully.
    • Stay Calm: Don’t panic if you forget something or see a tough question. Just do your best.

    Don’ts for NEET UG 2025 Exam Day

    1. Do Not Carry Banned Items: Any gadget or extra item can lead to disqualification.
    2. Do Not Argue: Be polite and do not argue with staff or fellow students.
    3. Do Not Use Wrong Pen: Only use a blue/black ballpoint pen. No ink pen, gel pen or pencil allowed.
    4. Do Not Mark Answers Carelessly: Avoid cutting or overwriting on OMR.
    5. Do Not Leave Early: You are not allowed to leave the exam hall before 5:20 PM.
    6. Do Not Talk During Exam: Talking or asking anything to another student can lead to cancellation.
