Odisha CPET 2024 How to Apply
CAF Form
Candidates have to apply through online mode only no offline mode application will be accepted.
The board will collect the candidates details through CAF form before the entrance exam and after the exam the candidates have to update the information filled by him.
Multiple options
The candidate who want to submit multiple options, they must provide the combination of subject and University/College, where he/she wants to take admission in order of preference.
Let us understand with the example, if any candidates wants to apply for Public Administration at Utkal University, Political Science at Berhampur University, and Political Science at F.M.(Autonomous) College, Balasore with the first choice as Berhampur UniversityPolitical Science, the second choice is Utkal University- Public Administration and third choice F.M.(Autonomous) College, Balasore – Political Science
Application Edit Process
if a candidate finds any mistakes, or any other changes are required by him/her, then s/he can edit the details once by entering the OTP received in his/her registered mobile number
Integrated course candidates instruction- the candidates who have done integrated PG course can also apply for PG courses provided they have studied the same course in their integrated programme.
Marks Calculation Process
The total career marks will be calculated out of 20. Candidates who obtained 60%
or higher marks in aggregate with Honors/Major/Core will be given 10 Marks, while those who secured between 50% or above and below 60% mark in aggregate with Honors/Major/Core will be given 5 Marks.
Students who secured less than 50% in aggregate shall not avail of any career mark and weightage marks. Their selection will be solely based on their CPET Entrance marks.

Selection of Subjects for Admission
A candidate can apply to appear for entrance in a maximum of 05 subjects and
also provide preferences for the Universities or Colleges of his/her preference.
The Subject + HEI (University/Colleges) combination will define his option.

Rank List
The CPET-2024 subject-wise state provisional merit rank will be prepared by combining the career marks out of 20 and entrance marks out of 80. Provisional allotment will be prepared through a centralized selection process based on the subject-wise, state-wide provisional rank, choice of preferences as provided by the candidate, reservation, and weightage details provided in the CAF.
Preparation of Selection Process:
During the academic session 2023-24, Counseling Based Online Admission Process will be implemented for P.G. admission. The detailed process is as follows; a) The Preference of Choices will be captured once in a Phase.
A phase will consist of a Maximum of 6 rounds of admission.
b) Applicants, who got selected and taken admission in his/her 1st Preference of Choice in Phase, will not be allowed to participate in the subsequent round of admissions and Phases.
c) Applicants who got a seat in the round are advised to do the following options after publication round-wise selection:
i. Float – If an applicant has accepted the allotted seat and also wishes for a better Subject in their higher preferences for the same HEI, they can choose this option.
ii. Slide – If an applicant has accepted the allotted seat but also wants a better Subject as well as HEI in their higher preferences, they can choose this option. iii.
Freeze – If an applicant is satisfied with the allotted seat i.e. both the HEI and the Subject, they can choose this option.
