Eligibility and Exclusions for the Odisha Subhadra Yojana
The Odisha Subhadra Yojana 2024 is a new financial assistance scheme introduced by the Odisha government to support and empower women in the state. This scheme is targeted at women aged 21 to 60 years, excluding those from economically well-off families, government employees, or those receiving other substantial government benefits.
Financial Aid Details
Under the scheme, each eligible woman will receive an annual financial aid of ₹10,000, which will be disbursed in two installments of ₹5,000 each—one on Raksha Bandhan and another on International Women’s Day. This financial support will be provided directly to the beneficiaries’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Digital Literacy and Incentives
The scheme also promotes digital literacy by encouraging beneficiaries to engage in digital transactions. The top 100 women in each Gram Panchayat and Urban Local Body who make the most digital transactions will receive an additional ₹500 as an incentive.
The Subhadra Yojana will be implemented from the financial year 2024-25 to 2028-29, with a total budget allocation of ₹55,825 crores. The Women and Child Development Department of Odisha will oversee the scheme’s implementation and monitoring.

Eligible women can apply for the scheme by obtaining and submitting an application form at Anganwadi centers, block offices, or public service centers across the state. The application process will require essential documents such as an Aadhaar card, bank account details, and proof of age.
