IISc Under Graduate Programmes-Indian Institute of Science Banglore, admission in UG and PG courses will be offered on the basis of, JEE Main 2024, JEE Advanced 2024, NEET UG 2024 or IAT 2024. Candidates will be shortlisted for admission in their offered programs on the basis of various parameters set by the authority for admission

Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme

The programme is designed as a blend of core science and interdisciplinary topics that will serve as a launching pad for attractive career opportunities in academia and industry. The institute offers the opportunity for UG graduate Research degree students to pursue a Master of Science degree by studying at the Institute for the fifth year

Candidates who have completed their 10+2 OR its equivalent examination in the previous year and also those who are expecting to complete their 10+2 or its equivalent exam in 2023
The candidate must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects in their qualifying exam along with any other subjects
Percentage- 60 per cent or equivalent grade (passed class to SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying exam 10+2 or its equivalent.
Candidates must have qualified in any one of the following exams and the result must be valid for one year.

Selection will be based on the merit list of one of the following national examination

• JEE Main 2024
• JEE Advanced 2024
• NEET UG 2024
• IAT 2024

SC/SCT Categories- will be selected through empowerment initiatives.

B.Tech Mathematics and Computing

Intake-52

The core of the program spread over four semesters includes six courses each in Mathematics and Computing areas apart from courses in the sciences, humanities, and other engineering disciplines

Qualification: Student must have cleared class XII or equivalent from a recognized board with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language, and any subject other than the above four.

Selection Process

The selection is based on a valid Rank in JEE (Advanced) National Entrance Exam

Applicants applying under the EWS and OBC categories must visit www.ncbc.nic.in. It is also important to note that they must have a valid EWS/OBC-NCL certificate.

Scholarship/Fellowship

The institute offers scholarships from the date of joining the institute. The value of the scholarship/fellowship per month for students enrolled in different programmes of the Institute is as given below.

All the students who join the Institute (except for M Sc and M.Mgt programmes/B.Tech) are eligible for scholarship/ Fellowship from CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/MHRD/AICTE/DAE (NBHM)/ DST as the case may be depending on their mode of entry. Immediately upon joining the Institute, the students must send the joining report to the concerned authorities/agencies appropriately for activating their scholarship/fellowship.

Other Scholarship

Scholarships from GE/ INFOSYS/ IBM/ HP/ TATA/ PHILIPS/ BELL LAB/ MICROSOFT/Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DietY) are also available for deserving students.

Duration of Scholarship

The scholarship is provided for a maximum period of 2 years in the case of M Tech/M Des/M Tech (Res) and a Fellowship of 5 years in the case of Ph D programme.

Students who receive a salary from their Employers/Sponsors are not eligible for scholarships/fellowships.

M.Sc/M.Mgt/B.Tech Option for Scholarship

Students admitted to M Sc/ M.Mgt/ B.Tech programmes are not entitled to Institute funded Scholarships. However, students who are admitted to these programmes can avail of scholarships/fellowships from external agencies in case they are otherwise eligible under the schemes/terms/conditions of such external agencies.
