NID DAT 2026 Prelims exam is on December 21, 2025, but the National Institute of Design does not release an official answer key or question paper for this stage.
NID does not release any answer key the only option available is re checking of the preliminary result it follows the same procedure in the Mains exam. There is no Answer key for Mains exam only re checking of exam
NID 2026 Answer key Availability Status
Though no answer key is out by the NID, the rechecking process is one and will start on April 7 2026 as the date mentioned by NID in its prospectus. You can request for rechecking online only and will upload the valid admit card, The details is at the bottom.
Rechecking of DAT 2026 Prelims
Request for rechecking answer booklet of the preliminary exam you can submit online only on the official website of NID i.e., https://admissions.nid.edu
Restriction applies in rechecking-:
First is whether a candidate has marked all the answers
Checks if marks for each question in the answer book are correct and transferred accurately to the first cover page of the answer booklet
No other re-evaluation of the answer script or other work by the candidates as a part of the examination will be carried out
No candidate, person, or organisation can demand a re-evaluation, disclosure, inspection, or copies of the answer script or related documents, as the NID Admission Cell treats them as highly confidential.
On rechecking the answer booklet, NID finds that there ia an error the marks, NID will revise marks accordingly
The communication regarding the revision of marks if any candidate will receive the reply on registered email ID only.
How to Apply for NID 2026 rechecking
- You can request rechecking only online at the NID official website.

- The admit card have signature of Invigilator and with the seal of the test centre
- Rechecking request will be entertained through the mail.
