SSC Stenographer Group C and D 2025 Admit Card, Skill Test Dates Out, Next Step after skill test: The SSC Stenographer Group C and D 2025 Skill Test dates have been announced, with the exam scheduled to take place on April 16-17, 2025. To qualify for all stages this exam is necessary for selection. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the skill test to assess the candidates’ typing skills. Candidates who clear this test will move forward in the selection process. After the skill test, the next step will be the declaration of the final results. The results will be based on the candidate’s performance in both the computer-based test and the skill test.

The first stage of the selection process includes sections on General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language & Comprehension.

Skill Test

The second stage tests the candidate’s stenography skills. The final stage is where the results are declared based on the candidate’s performance in both the CBT and the skill test. Candidates must regularly visit the official SSC website for further updates and important announcements.

Typing Criteria

  • Task: 10 minutes of dictation in English or Hindi

Expected Speed of Typing

  • Grade C: 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English, 80 w.p.m. in Hindi
  • Grade D: 80 w.p.m. in English, 70 w.p.m. in Hindi.

Transcription Time

  • Grade C: 40 minutes for English, 55 minutes for Hindi.
  • Grade D: 50 minutes for English, 65 minutes for Hindi.

Additional Time for Candidates with Scribe

  • Grade C: 55 minutes for English, 75 minutes for Hindi
  • Grade D: 70 minutes for English, 90 minutes for Hindi
