CLAT Exam for Law Courses-CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is the gateway to India’s top 24 National Law Universities (NLUs) + 60+ private law colleges for 5-year integrated law programmes (BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB, etc.) and LLM (PG). It is conducted by the Consortium of NLUs once a year in offline (pen-paper) mode.

Expected CLAT
Exam Date: First week of December (Sunday, 2 PM – 4 PM). Official Website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in (only authentic site – bookmark it now).
Important Note: An Expert Committee has been formed to review and suggest reforms in question quality, paper structure, and syllabus for implementation from CLAT 2027 onwards. So minor changes are possible — the final pattern will be confirmed only in the official notification (expected July 2026). Till then, prepare as per the current pattern.

Eligibility Criteria (UG Programme) CLAT Exam for Law Courses
- Educational Qualification: Passed or appearing in 10+2 or equivalent (any stream).
- Minimum Marks:
- General / OBC / EWS / PWD: 45%
- SC / ST: 40%
- Age Limit: No upper age limit.
- Final-year Class 12 students (2026-27) can apply.
- Same criteria apply for PG (LLM) with LLB + 50% (45% SC/ST).
Local Area Consideration for CLAT
The NLU also take into consideration the Local Area candidates and gives little relief in percentage of marks during admission process. So if you are planning to take admission in NLU which falls in your home state you will get the advantage
