Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2025: The Department of Technical Education (DOTE), Tamil Nadu, has officially started the TNEA 2025 registration process from May 7, 2025. A brand-new website has been launched to handle the admissions for this year, providing students with updated features like college-wise cutoff percentages for both government and private engineering institutions.

Candidates will have a full month to complete the registration process and apply for admission to various B.E. / B.Tech courses offered in government and affiliated colleges across Tamil Nadu. The registration process link had been activated on the official website. The official website is www.tneaonline.org  or www.dte.tn.gov.in.

Educational QualificationsAge Criteria
Tamil Nadu candidates who have passed VIII, IX, X, XI and XII standard from schools situated in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply. They need not produce Nativity Certificate for verification. Tamil Nadu native candidates who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. or their equivalent examination from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply.  Maximum age limit 25-years.

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2025: How To Apply?

  • Step 1: Open any browser and go to the official TNEA website: www.tneaonline.org
  • Click on “Click here for B.E/ B.Tech. Registration”
  • Step 2: Register Yourself Full Name (as per your 10th and 12th mark sheets) Mobile Number, Email ID, Date of Birth, Whether you passed +1, Qualifying Exam Details and Create and confirm a password and Click on “Save and Proceed”.
  • You’ll receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on both your registered mobile number and email.
  • Enter the OTP and click on “Submit” to verify your registration.
  • Step 4: Login to Your Account – Use your email/login ID and password to log in to the TNEA portal.
  • You’ll now see a new registration window.
  • Step 5: Fill in Your Details – Complete the personal and academic information section carefully and Click on “Save & Continue”.
  • Step 6: If you are eligible for any special reservation, fill in the required details.
  • If you want to apply for scholarship or tuition fee concession, select the correct options.
  • You may also choose to apply for education loan, if needed.
  • Click on “Save & Continue” after each section.
  • Step 7: Additional Information Enter details about: Whether you studied in a government school, If you have applied for NEET or JEE and Click “Save & Continue”.
  • Step 8: Preview Your Application – Now you’ll see a preview of your full application. Review it carefully and If any correction is needed, click “Back” to edit.
  • Step 9: Pay Application Fee – Once everything is correct, move to the payment page. And Pay the application fee using debit card, credit card, or net banking.
  • Step 10: Upload Documents Includes Your photo, Signature, Educational certificates and Other required documents
  •  Step 11: Final Submission – After uploading, submit your application. Download and save a copy of the filled application form for future use.
