TS/TG Lawcet 2026 Application, Exam, Eligibility-TS LAWCET 2026 is the Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test for admissions to 3-year and 5-year LLB programs in Telangana law colleges, conducted by TGCHE. The exam takes place in First Week of June 2026.
The exam will take place in single day in different shift for LLB and BA LLB. The LLB exam conducted in the Morning shift and afternoon shifts First shift started at 9.30 AM and another shift for LLB started at 12.30 PM
BA LLB 2025 takes place at 2.30 PM

TS/TG Lawcet 2026 Key Dates (Tentative)
Application form opens in first week of March 2026; exam in first week of June 2026; admit card last week of May. Late fees apply up to late May; results expected fourth week of June.
Eligibility Criteria
- 3-year LLB: Graduation with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST).
- 5-year LLB: 10+2 with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST).
No upper age limit; online exam in multiple shifts.

Register at lawcet.tgche.ac.in with fee (₹800-₹1000 based on category); correction window in late May. Exam covers General Knowledge, Aptitude for Legal Studies, and Proficiency in English (120 questions, 120 marks). Qualifying: 35% for General (no minimum for SC/ST).

Hall Ticket/Admit Card 2026
They have to download from the website as detailed below: 1. The candidates have to download Hall Tickets from the website https://lawcet.tgche.ac.in one week before the Test by entering his/her details.
Eligibility
The applicants who have obtained 10+2 or Graduation/Post Graduation through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible for admission into the law courses.
TS/TG Lawcet 2026 Qualifying Marks
. Qualifying marks in TG LAWCET-2025: The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 35% (i.e. 42 marks out of total 120 marks). For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, no minimum qualifying percentage of marks is available
Answer key
. The candidate shall pay a minimum fee of Rs. 500/- per question for raising any objection to the question or preliminary key. If the objection is deemed valid, the fee will be refunded within 7 days from the date of publication of the final results.

The rank obtained in TG LAWCET-2026 is valid for admission into a 3-year/5-year Law Course for the academic year 2026-2027 only.

Out of these 60 Questions a total of 10 Questions will be based on or related to the comprehension of legal passages given
For the 5-year LLB course, the expected standard matches Intermediate (10+2) level. For the 3-year LLB course, it aligns with Degree level.
Language of the Test-English and Telgu or English and Urdu
Question Pattern in Part-C
Part-C tests aptitude for legal studies, assuming basic knowledge of Indian law and Constitution principles. Questions are objective, featuring multiple-choice options, matching items, with four alternatives (1-4) per question; select the correct choice (see mock test).
Exam Format
All sections use multiple-choice questions for a uniform, accessible structure.
National Integration Quota (NIQ)/Management Quota
This will apply for the candidates who are from other state than Telangana. The admission to these candidates will be given in this quota only
Separate counselling will be conducted for candidates seeking admission under National Integration Quota (NIQ) in University Campus law college and Constituent Law Colleges and candidates may contact Private Law colleges for admission under Management quota.
Seats
85 per cent seats are reserved for local candidates and rest 15 per cent under the quota mentioned below
- a. All candidates eligible to be declared as local candidates of the O.U. area.
- b. Candidates who have resided in the State for a total of 10 years (excluding periods of study outside the State), or either of whose parents have resided in the State for a total of 10 years (excluding periods of employment outside the State).
- c. Children of parents employed by the State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities, or other similar quasi-public institutions within the State.
- d. Spouses of individuals employed by the State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities, educational institutions recognized by the Government/University/competent authority, or other similar quasi-government institutions within the State.
