IMU CET 2026 Admisson,Eligibility and selection process, apply

Candidates seeking admission in Pre-Sea Courses Diploma in Nautical Science, B.Sc. (Nautical -Science) and B.E / B.Tech. (Marine Engineering) to any MTI (Govt. or Private- Affiliated to any University) qualify in IMU-CET.

After securing IMU-CET ranks, candidates need to approach affiliated/non-affiliated institutes for taking admissions as per their admission mechanism. Candidates desirous of taking admissions in IMU campuses only need to register in IMU’s counselling portal which will be opened after release of IMU-CET rank list. Admissions to Diploma in Nautical Science programme in Affiliated Institutes are open only to ‘sponsored candidates’ , i.e. candidates sponsored by Ship Owning or Managing Companies and who qualify in IMU’s CET for UG programmes.

Other Entrance Test score

The following entrance tests are accepted for admission

GATE/CUET-(PG)/PG-CET is acceptable for admissions to: – M.Tech Programmes. However, preference will be to candidates with IMU-CET rank

CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/Mar ks is acceptable for admissions to: – MBA Programmes except Online MBA (MM).

Preference  To the candidates with IMU-CET rank. For admission to joint Programme (MBA – Port and Shipping Logistics) instituted by IMU & GSV, the entrance exam of GSV has to clear this for admission. Ph.D./Ph.D.(Integrated)/M. S(By Research): – Details of Entrance Test send through a separate notification

The course starts from BSc, BTech, MTEch, BBA and MBA courses. IMU Cet also offers Lateral entry courses and Diploma courses

What is the application fee?

For BBA the application fee is Rs.200 and for other UG and PG course the fee is Rs.1200

I have CAT score can I apply?

Yes IMU accepts other National entrance test score such as CAT/CUET PG for Management courses
