The official notification for RIE CEE 2027 is expected in the first half of 2027. Based on the 2026 admission cycle, the application process is likely to begin around June 2027.

What is RIE CEE 2027?

RIE CEE 2027 is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to teacher education programmes offered by Regional Institutes of Education under NCERT. These institutes are located at:

• Regional Institute of Education, Ajmer
• Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal
• Regional Institute of Education Bhubaneswar
• Regional Institute of Education Mysuru
• North East Regional Institute of Education

The institutes offer teacher education programmes designed to prepare candidates for careers in school education.

RIE CEE 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Integrated M.Sc.Ed. (6-Year)

Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc.Ed. (Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics) must fulfill the following conditions:

• Must have passed Class 12/Intermediate or an equivalent examination with:
  • Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), or
  • Physics, Chemistry, and Statistics (PCS).
• Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025, and those appearing in 2026, are eligible.
• A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination is required.
• A relaxation of 5% marks is available for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
• The qualifying examination must be recognized by the University of Mysore, the affiliating university of RIE Mysuru.

Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. (3-Year)

Candidates must possess:

• A postgraduate degree in Science, Social Science, or Humanities from a recognized institution.
• At least 55% marks or equivalent grade in the postgraduate degree.
• SC, ST, and PwD candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation in marks.

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) (2-Year)

Candidates are eligible if they have:

• At least 50% marks in either:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or
  • Master’s Degree in Science, Social Science, or Humanities.
• Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology specializing in Science and Mathematics must have 55% marks.
• A relaxation of 5% marks is available for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
• Candidates who have passed or are appearing in the final year of a Commerce degree are also eligible.

Important Note

Candidates with less than 50% marks in graduation but meeting RIE CEE 2027 eligibility through postgraduate marks must still enter their graduation marks in the application form. Graduation marks will be used while calculating the prescribed weightage during merit preparation.

Master of Education (M.Ed.) (2-Year)

Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in any of the following:

• B.Ed.
• B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed.
• B.El.Ed.
• D.El.Ed. along with a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 50% marks in both programmes)

A relaxation of 5% marks is available for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.

M.A. Education Technology (2-Year)

Candidates must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade in graduation.
• SC, ST, and PwD candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation.

Passing Year Restriction

There is no restriction on the year of passing for the following programmes:

• Domicile, Nativity, or Residence Certificate issued by the competent authority.
