- Reservations are available according to the West Bengal Government reservation policy.
- At least 20% of the state quota seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Weavers’ Community.
IIHT Admission 2026 Eligibility
First Year Admission
- Must have passed Madhyamik (10th) with English as a subject.
Age (as on 16 July 2026):
- General: 15–23 years
- SC/ST: 15–25 years
Lateral Entry (Second Year)
For IIHT Admission 2026 candidates must have any one of the following:
- 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, or
- 10+2 Vocational in any textile discipline, or
- 10th Pass + 2-year ITI course.
Age (as on 16 July 2026):
- General: 17–25 years
- SC/ST: 17–27 years
Selection Process
- Admission will be based purely on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (no entrance test mentioned).

Application Instructions
You must submit:
- A filled application form.
- Self-attested photocopies of the following documents (as applicable):
- Proof of age
- Proof of permanent address
- Educational qualification certificates/mark sheets
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Weavers’ Community certificate (if applicable)
- Any other required supporting documents
